Just in survival mode today. Have to go out and brave the elements to bring the firewood in. It's about 12 degrees and an inch or two has fallen on our already 3 foot of snow. According to the Gurus of weather, the snow will last until this afternoon, which means I get to shovel and plow after that. I love my home and I love the country that I live in, but I would be lieing if I said that I don't get weary of the winter. At the end of Spring, Summer and Fall, I am ready to welcome it back though, along with all of it's problems and aches and pains it's a truly beautiful sight to see all the trees and hills blanketed in the clean pristine snow. Its the four seasons that keep me here in the Northwest. Also I have to say the seclusion of winter is like a blanket of piece, as long as I don't watch too much t.v. and news.
This blog is going to have to go along slowly because of some of the upgrades to this computer that have needed to be done. I think along with the winter and the avoiding the outside world I probably should take the time to do it. I must admit that after watching the State of the Union address last night, though I admit falling asleep during it, the State of the Union is pretty grim and the person at the helm is one sorry excuse for a human being, that being my personal opinion and no I won't aologize for it. Have fun out there kiddies in cyber space and perhaps a little later I can amaze you with some truly great blogging, though I wouldn't hold my breath.

Got me a Google account just so's I can leave comments for this old farmer I've never met. Looking forward to hearing more about that country life, wanderingmind.
Oh KKKatie, I am ever so humbled by your presence here on this mostly useless blogspot. Sounds kind of nasty doesn't it? Blogspot...something that you got on you while you were in the backseat of a Hudson. LOVE YA ED
